Career Cafe

This Thursday, December 14, interested students can come to the library during study halls to learn about Phlebotomy and the role of a Medical Assistant. Brandi Harrison, RMA, CPT, Allied Health Program Coordinator at LFCC, will discuss this career option and explain phlebotomy -- the drawing of blood for transfusion, diagnostic testing, or experimental procedures. Students should sign up to attend during their study hall.

Rising Freshmen Parent Night

Join us Thursday, January 11, 2018, at 6:30 p.m. in the JWHS Auditorium for a presentation for parents of upcoming ninth graders. This presentation is designed to prepare for the 2018-2019 registration process and provide a general overview of graduation requirements and diploma types. All parents of rising freshmen are encouraged to attend.

Peggy Clark Resigns from Frederick County School Board

Frederick County School Board Member Peggy Clark resigned from the School Board effective November 20. Mrs. Clark, who was first elected in November 2009, is moving out of the Redbud District and is no longer eligible to serve as that district’s representative on the School Board.
